SERVING SUMMIT

A website for:
People Who Want to Help People!

ABOUT US

We are Summit Girl Scout Troop 45273 and we're working towards earning our Bronze Award. We have been finding out about local organizations here in Summit who need support, donations and volunteers. As part of our research we've helped at a local food bank and did a collection drive for them, made soup for homeless people and baked cookies for those without enough food. We've brought everything we learned together here in our website and also produced a pamphlet to share with local families, students and anyone who would like to help make a difference in Summit. We hope you will use this resource help people who need help in our town.

Meals on Wheels delivers ready-made meals to older members of our community who may not be able to leave the house or cook for themselves. In Summit, the service is run by SAGE Eldercare, a local non-profit that relies on donations of money and certain non-perishable foods, as well as volunteers’ time to make their work possible.

LOAVES & FISHES

They stock shelf stable items as well as locally donated produce and baked goods for weekly distribution to approximately 50 local families. Loaves & Fishes is located at St Teresa of Avila Church in Summit where they maintain a food pantry.

"Please support one of the organizations featured on our website. They all do a great job at helping local people in need"
